In this study, we investigated the effects related to the local application of PCL interlayer material on the failure process of UD carbon fiber/epoxy composites under interlaminar shear loading. For this purpose, short-beam shear tests were performed alongside finite element simulations. The results of both the experiments and the modelling confirm that the local application of the PCL interlayer material can influence the mode and position of failure.
Kivonat
Ebben a cikkben PCL rétegközi anyag lokális alkalmazásának hatásait vizsgáltuk UD szénszál/epoxi kompozitok tönkremeneteli folyamatára rétegközi nyíró igénybevétel esetén. Ehhez rövid támaszközű hárompontos hajlítóvizsgálatok mellett végeselemes szimulációkat is alkalmaztunk. A kísérletek és a modellezés eredményei egyaránt megerősítik, hogy a PCL rétegközi anyag lokális alkalmazásával befolyásolható a tönkremeneteli mód és pozíció.
