The aim of this research is to show how alternative mobility is shaping the development of Central European countries through the acceleration of transport electrification. The analysis focuses on Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia, examining the historical trends in the growth of alternative-fuel vehicle fleets and the expansion of AC and DC charging infrastructure. The analysis examines structural differences between countries and divergences in development trajectories. The results highlight that the emergence of electrified cities is not merely a technological issue, but also a matter of regional economic and urban policy.
