Abstract

This study investigates the applicability of recycled aggregates derived from thermally damaged concrete at replacement ratios of 10–50%. The results indicate that at 10–25% replacement, compressive strength approaches the reference concrete, while a reduction is observed at 50%. Thermal treatment consistently improved mechanical performance, with several mixtures exceeding the reference strength. The original strength of the parent concrete did not show a clear correlation with the final performance. The findings confirm that, with appropriate pre-treatment, thermally damaged concrete can be effectively reused in the production of high-strength concrete.
