Abstract

Sonochemistry aims to create chemical reactions inside bubbles a few microns in diameter. By acoustically exciting the bubbles or causing them to vibrate in other ways, a high compression ratio can be achieved, along with very high pressure and temperature, providing an ideal environment for certain chemical reactions. One of the simplest such reaction mechanisms is water splitting. The purpose of this paper is the numerical simulation of this process, the calculation of the energy required for the hydrogen produced, and the optimization of the model for energy efficiency through the tuning of various control parameters, such as the equilibrium bubble size, as well as the ambient pressure and temperature.

Kivonat

A szonokémia célja, hogy néhány mikron átmérőjű buborékok belsejében kémiai reakciókat hozzunk létre. A buborékokat akusztikusan gerjesztve, vagy más módon rezgésbe hozva jelentős kompresszió, ezzel együtt igen nagy nyomás és hőmérséklet érhető el, ideális környezetet biztosítva bizonyos kémiai reakcióknak. Az egyik legegyszerűbb ilyen reakciómechanizmus a vízbontás. Jelen cikk célja ennek a folyamatnak a numerikus szimulációja, a keletkező hidrogénhez szükséges energia számítása, és az energetikai optimalizálás különböző kontrol paraméterek, például az egyensúlyi buborékméret, valamint a környezeti nyomás és hőmérséklet állításán keresztül.
