Presentation of the WATCH+ career orientation program and opportunities for further development

Absztrakt

The underrepresentation of women in STEM fields remains a global problem today, necessitating the creation of numerous programs. In my thesis, in addition to analyzing statistical data, I present international and domestic initiatives, with a particular focus on WATCH (Women at Tech), launched by the Agóra Tudományos Élményközpont. I intend to further develop the alumni program of this initiative, WATCH+, with the opportunities offered by the Department of Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics at the University of Debrecen.

A nők STEM-területeken való alulreprezentáltsága napjainkban is világszintű probléma, amely számos program létrehozását teszi szükségessé. Dolgozatomban a statisztikai adatok elemzése mellett nemzetközi és hazai kezdeményezéseket mutatok be, különös tekintettel az Agóra Tudományos Élményközpont által indított WATCH-ra (Women at Tech). Ezen program alumniprogramját, a WATCH+-ot a Debreceni Egyetem Villamosmérnöki és Mechatronikai Tanszék adta lehetőségekkel kívánom továbbfejleszteni.
