This study integrates longitudinal student survey data collected in 2024 and 2025 with a 2026 AI competency framework. The findings reveal increasing student recognition of GenAI’s productivity-enhancing potential, alongside persistent uncertainty regarding its institutional integration. At the same time, industry expectations frame AI competence as an embedded component of junior capabilities. These results support the need for a curriculum renewal that aligns higher education more closely with both professional expectations and students’ actual use of GenAI.
Kivonat
