The paper presents an up-to-date review of neuronal operation models developed and currently used in international references. In essence, the focus is guided upon three leading theories that each one describes from a very different point of view the neuron cell operation mode. Shortcomings or insuffi-ciencies of some of these models are also pointed out and discussed in detail. Untested ad-hoc hy-potheses are also remarqued. It is analyzed which one of these is most suited to provide a complete or generalized model that describes with highest accuracy the mystery of the full neuron cell operation. Starting from these theories it seems that the advent of a future genuine artificial cell model may be forecasted.
Kivonat
