The Geological Surveys of Europe (GSEU) project supports the EU Critical Raw Materials Act (2024) by promoting sustainable resource management through the United Nations Framework Classification (UNFC). The project reassesses onshore and offshore critical raw materials (CRM), develops UNFC-based data harmonization, and contributes to resource classification and reporting. These efforts enhance the security and sustainability of Europe’s raw material supply while aligning with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
