The microalloying of steels is of paramount importance in the steel industry as microalloyed HSLA steels exhibit strong mechanical properties, including high strength, toughness, and good formability. Furthermore, microalloying allows for weight reduction without compromising mechanical properties, and through proper procedures and material selection, it can reduce manufacturing costs, enhancing competitiveness. Research indicates that niobium microalloying yields stable results, while further optimization is required for economically efficient production in the case of titanium microalloying.
