Abstract

Dr. Endre Dudich (1934-2016) Hungarian geologist, biologist, chemist had been an excellent and unique personality of his time and he was also proficient in theology and philosophy. He was a polyglot speaking more than a dozen of languages. His carrier began at the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest (in 1956) and finished at the INHIGEO (International Committee of History of Geosciences) in Paris, where as chief secretary dealt with organisation and managing of international geological correlation programs (1994). As a university lecturer he taught geology at the Sopron University (Hungary) and Sapientia University, Csíkszereda (Romania). The great personality was iconic member of the Hungarian Native American Hobbyst Group Organization and also the Hungarian Esperanto Organisation. His course of life is described by the Author, one of his closest friends.

Dr. Dudich Endre (1934-2016) magyar geológus, biológus, kémikus kiemelkedő egyénisége korának, aki a filozófiában, teológiában jártas humanista polihisztor volt, és akit egyedülállóan sokoldalú nyelvi ismeretei révén a földtan diplomatájaként ismerte a világ. Pályafutása a budapesti Eötvös Loránd Tudomány Egyetem Őslénytani Tanszékétől (1956) a párizsi székhelyű INHIGEO (Geotudományok Történetének Nemzetközi Bizottsága) szervező főtitkári beosztásig ívelt. Földtant oktatott a magyarországi Soproni Egyetemen és a romániai csíkszeredai Sapientia Egyetemen is. Korának nagy egyénisége eszperantista és indián is volt, akinek életútját egy közeli barátja, a Szerző mutatja be.
