Wear and corrosion reduce the lifetime of highly loaded tools, highlighting the importance of PVD coatings. TiN coatings deposited by cathodic arc were analyzed for structural, mechanical, and optical properties. Higher hardness correlated with lower L* lightness and reduced surface roughness. Results confirm that optical color measurement enables rapid, non-destructive industrial qualification of TiN coatings.
Kivonat
A kopás és korrózió csökkenti a szerszámok élettartamát, ezért fontosak a PVD bevonatok. Katódíves eljárással készült TiN bevonatokat vizsgáltam gyorsacél hordozón. A bevonatokat mechanikai, topográfiai és optikai módszerekkel jellemeztem. A nagyobb keménység kisebb érdességgel és alacsonyabb L* értékkel járt együtt. Az optikai színmérés alkalmas gyors, roncsolásmentes ipari minősítésre.
