Development of the PLC and HMI system of the Logistics 4.0 laboratory

Abstract

With the advancement of Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0, it became timely to modernize the Logistics 4.0 laboratory of the University of Miskolc in order to improve the educational infrastructure. One element of this is the transformation of the existing PLC and HMI controlled system. The system has a main control PLC that serves the conveyor, while the loading machine is controlled by a separate PLC. Communication between these two PLCs has been established. Until now, one HMI panel was operated in the system, but now it has been supplemented with three panels, which are located on three sides of the conveyor track for more efficient operation of the system. The communication of the HMI panels with the main PLC has also been established. The main goal of the laboratory development is the installation of a product tracking system. The article presents the steps of this development.

Az Ipar 4.0 és Logisztika 4.0 előretörésével időszerűvé vált a Miskolci Egyetem Logisztika 4.0 laboratóriumának korszerűsítése az oktatási infrastruktúra javításához. Ennek egyik eleme a meglévő PLC és HMI vezérelt rendszer átalakítása. A rendszerben található egy fő vezérlő PLC, amely a szállítópályát szolgálja ki, míg a felrakógépet egy külön PLC vezérli. A kettő közötti kommunikáció létesítése megtörtént. A rendszerben eddig egy HMI panel volt üzemeltetve, most ez kiegészült három darabra, amely a szállítópálya három oldalán található a rendszer hatékonyabb üzemeltetéséhez. A HMI panelek fő PLC-vel való kommunikációja szintén kialakításra került. A laboratórium fejlesztés fő célja egy termék nyomonkövetési rendszer beüzemelése. A cikk bemutatja ezen fejlesztés lépéseit.
