Abstract

Acoustically excited gas bubbles appear primarily in sonochemistry. The objective of sonochemistry is to increase the yield of chemical processes with ultrasound excitation. CFD simulations of acoustically excited bubbles can give us new insights into bubble dynamics, such as the break-up of a bubble. In this paper an extensive validation of the ALPACA solver is presented by comparing the simulation results to the Keller-Miksis equation, which describes the oscillations of a spherical bubble in an acoustic field.

Kivonat

Akusztikusan gerjesztett gázbuborékok elsősorban a szonokémiában jelennek meg. A szonokémia lényege, kémia folyamatok kihozatalának a növelése ultrahangos gerjesztéssel. Akusztikusan gerjesztett buborékok CFD szimulációi új betekintést nyújthatnak a buborékok dinamikájába, például a buborékok felbomlásába. Ez a munka az ALPACA megoldó átfogó validációját mutatja be, a szimulációk eredményei a Keller-Miksis egyenlettel kerülnek összevetésre, amely egyetlen gömb alakú buborék oszcillációját írja le akusztikus térben.
