Benefits of green roofs in construction practice

Abstract

Over the past few decades, concrete has gradually replaced the green spaces of cities, and the few parks that remain have now almost completely list their original role. They became crowded, shabby green spots on the city map. One of the construction technologies of the future, to reduce the increasing urban air pollution and to
decrease the urban heat islands, if we become more conscious of creating green spaces on our existing roofs. 

In this study, the improvement of the green surfaces of Budapest is investigated, by considering the urban fabric’s characteristics, and using the benefits of the green roof. The technological requirements, the steps of construction and the questions to be solved are detailed.

Az elmúlt néhány évtizedben a beton fokozatosan kiszorította a városok zöldterületeit, és az a néhány park is, ami megmaradt mára már szinte teljesen elveszítette eredeti szerepét, már csak zsúfolt, kopott zöld foltok a város térképén. A jövő egyik építőipari technológiája lehet az egyre növekvő városi légszennyezés csökkentésére és a létrejövő hőszigetek feloldására, ha egyre tudatosabban kezdünk el az épülő vagy már a meglévő tetőinken zöldfelületeket létrehozni.

Vizsgáljuk annak lehetőségét, hogyan lehet ezen javítani, figyelembe véve Budapest beépítettségét, adottságait, a zöldtetők előnyeit előtérbe helyezve. Ismertetjük a technológiai követelményeket, a kivitelezés lépéseit, a megoldandó problémáit.
