Abstract

This article primarily summarizes my experiences, ideas, attempts, and failures gained during the training of land surveyors and land-use planners at the Alba Regia Faculty of Obuda University. I am seeking to answer the question of how, within the framework of higher education, today’s young people can be prepared for the surveying profession and its ongoing evolution. I will describe what I observe among the young people entering college now, which fundamentally determines how they can be taught. I will detail my efforts and the methods I use to motivate students to invest their energy in completing their college education. Finally, I will attempt to answer the question of to what extent we succeed in preparing students for the challenges that await them.

Kivonat
