Synthesis and investigation of polyurethanes containing sunflower oil-based polyol

Abstract

The aim of the research is to prepare crosslinked polyurethanes containing sunflower oil based polyol in order to develop good mechanical properties. In the first step of the synthesis, we prepared the epoxy and hydroxyl group containing oil polyol by epoxidation from sunflower oil that can be incorporated into a polyurethane chain. The polyol produced in this way functions, among other things, as a crosslinking building block in the structure of polyurethane. We investigated the mechanical and thermal properties of the resulting polymers. Our aim is to produce polyurethanes containing sunflower oil polyol that can be used in various areas of everyday life.

A kutatás célja napraforgó olaj alapú poliolt tartalmazó térhálós poliuretánok előállítása a jó mechanikai tulajdonságok kialakítása érdekében. A szintézis első lépésében napraforgó olajból epoxidálással epoxi és hidroxil csoportokat tartalmazó poliuretán láncba beépíthető olaj poliolt állítottunk elő. Az így előállított poliol a poliuretán szerkezetében többek között térhálósító építőelemként is funkcionál. Vizsgáltuk a kapott polimerek mechanikai és termikus tulajdonságait. Mindezzel célunk, olyan napraforgó olaj poliol tartalmú poliuretánok előállítása, melyek alkalmassá válhatnak a hétköznapi élet különböző területein történő felhasználásra.
