Egy új projektverseny tapasztalatairól

Experiences from a new project competition

Abstract

The Hungarian Chemical Industry Association and the Szabolcs Szabó Memorial Public Benefit Foundation for Science Education announced the first "Green Chemical Value" project competition for the 2024/2025 school year, with the subtitle Climate Neutrality – Sustainability – Chemistry. The project competition provides an opportunity for 10th and 11th grade students from secondary schools to compete with each other on topics related to the UN's Climate Policy Goals. The aim is for the competing teams to show how chemistry can contribute to the future of our sensitive environment.

The Preamble to the competition rules states "The express intention of the competition organizers is to create an opportunity for secondary school students to develop their scientific intelligence, particularly in chemistry, in a multifaceted way through the independent, scientifically rigorous, and innovative solution of a 'socially sensitive' problem, as well as competencies that will be useful in the labor market and in their careers."

In our presentation, we will describe how the competition was conducted and evaluated, share our experiences from the first competition, analyze the topics chosen for the projects presented and the project products, and discuss the lessons learned from the jury's evaluations.

A Magyar Vegyipari Szövetség és a Szabó Szabolcs emlékére közhasznú alapítvány a természettudományos oktatásért a 2024/2025-ös tanévben hirdette meg először a „Zöld vegyérték” projektversenyt, a Klímasemlegesség – Fenntarthatóság – Kémia alcímmel. A projektverseny az ENSZ Klímapolitikai Célkitűzéseinek témaköreiben biztosít lehetőséget a középfokú oktatási intézmények 10-11. osztályos diákjainak versenyre kelni egymással. A cél, hogy a versengő csapatok megmutassák, a kémia milyen módon járulhat hozzá érzékeny környezetünk jövőjéhez. 

A versenyszabályzat Preambulumában olvashatjuk „A verseny szervezőinek kifejezett szándéka olyan lehetőség megteremtése középiskolás fiatalok számára, ahol egy „szociálisan érzékeny” probléma önálló, tudományos igényű, innovatív megoldásán keresztül sokoldalúan fejleszthetik természettudományos – kiemelten kémiával kapcsolatos – intelligenciájukat, a munkaerőpiacon, illetve az életpálya során is hasznos kompetenciáikat”

Előadásunkban bemutatjuk a verseny lebonyolítási, értékelési módját, az első verseny tapasztalatait, elemezzük a bemutatott projektek témaválasztását, projekttermékeit, valamint a zsűri értkeléseiből levonható tapasztalatokat.
