Abstract

With the transition to sustainable energy systems, international trade in hydrogen will be an important part of the hydrogen supply chain. Countries with limited domestic capacity to produce low-carbon hydrogen may benefit from importing affordable, low-carbon hydrogen. In this paper, the initial steps in the development of the hydrogen market and possible alternative hydrogen production pathways will be outlined.
