The Kaba meteorite, a CV3 carbonaceous chondrite, provides a unique opportunity to investigate extraterrestrial organic matter's molecular and structural characteristics. This study explores the distribution, composition, and evolution of organic compounds in the meteorite, emphasizing recent research findings. The role of hydrothermal alteration and redox conditions in the formation of the organic matter assemblage is discussed concerning mass spectrometry. Comparative analysis with other carbonaceous chondrites highlights the distinct chemical pathways and environmental influences shaping Kaba's organic material, such as soluble N-heterocyclic compounds.
