Abstract

The interior renovation of the cathedral, which has existed since the 11th century, reinterpreted the entire spatial structure to be suitable for both liturgical and secular events and create an interior with worthy appearance. The surfaces that give unified impression and the inflowing natural light expand its dimensions, turn the interior solemn and graceful.The size of the sanctuary allows the placement of the altar in two different positions. The geometric patterned new glass windows, and the depiction of Saint Michael, summon the contemporary form and color palette of the cathedral, make a connection with its restored windows.

Kivonat

A 11. század óta fennálló főszékesegyház belső felújítása a teljes térstruktúra újraértelmezésével a liturgikus és világi rendezvények befogadására alkalmas, méltó megjelenésű belső teret alkotott. Az egységes hatású felületek, a beáramló természetes fény tágítják méreteit, ünnepélyessé és elegánssá változtatják. A szentély méretei lehetővé tették az új oltár két pozícióban történő elhelyezését. A geometrikus mintázatú új üvegablakok és a Szent Mihályt ábrázoló üvegkép megidézik a korabeli forma- és színvilágot, kapcsolatot teremtenek a restaurált ablakaival.
